Fashion Show
Why, might you ask, is this post titled Fashion show? Well, dearest reader, that is a good question. And I will give you an answer. I'm entering a fashion design contest!! but the only catch is that the design needs to be made completely out of newspaper!! It as proved to be very challenging already.
Today was the first workday my model ( aka my BFF) got together to work on my design!! After a few hours of hard work, and lots of ripped newspapers, we are finally getting somewhere!! Perhaps I will post pics soon...
One other thing: My musical. OMG ITS IN TWO WEEKS!!!!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHGGGGG!!!!!!I don't even have my lines/ songs memorized. AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! THIS WILL EITHER BE A TOTAL SUCCESS,OR A COMPLETE DISASTER!!!

Ski Trip
About one week ago, I embarked on huge adventure. I went skiing!!! for the first time ever!!! and now I am addicted to skiing!!!!!
The reason I went on this trip was to go to the CMA youth retreat, Avalanche. This retreat takes place every year in Cadillac, Michigan. It's about a 5 hour car ride. Imagine multiple teenagers squeezed into a church van, with all of them running on low blood sugar. I shudder just thinking about it. Everything was fine and dandy until about the last hour of the ride, when we really started to get on each other's nerves. About nine people total went. My parents were the chaperons :)It made for quite an interesting weekend :)
Besides skiing, we went to some great sessions. Dave and Tara Powers spoke and lead worship. We not only had a blast, but learned a lot too. They were on the platform for LIFE 2007, and are serving again this year. They are both great people. They were so friendly and outgoing.
The day we went skiing was Sunday. We took lessons since most of us had never skied before. I stayed on the bunny hills, but ventured on the beginner hills. Three times was enough for me. I know learned that I don't enjoy ski lifts, and that it is very hard to get up if you fall down while attempting to get off of the ski lift. While I stuck to the bunny hills, some of the beginning skiers thought it would be fun to go down a black diamond run. My parents quickly put a stop to that :)
We were all really bummed to leave, and I hope I can go again next year. I would post some sweet pics, of me tearing up the slopes, but I can't currently find my camera right now :( Perhaps in the next few days? I know you are all dying to see my amazing talent......

So I decided to take advantage of the second snow day of the year ( YES!!!!!!) to make some valentines cards. After lots of hot glue and patience I produced these two simply ahhh-dorable cards, one of which I am giving to my fashion obsessed cousin.

I can't really think of anything better to do so...
Yep. For one of the first times in my life, I am rendered speechless. I can't think of anything worthwhile to blog about*. Usually I have waaayyy to much to talk about. But I guess I have writers block ( or maybe blogger's block ???) I don't know.
Anyway, I guess there is maybe one thing I've been thinking about blogging about. I know I just blogged about blogs last week, but I can't help it. So this past week I discovered an aaahhh- mazing new blog. Well, it's new to me anyway. It's called the Pioneer Women. A person named Ree Drummond writes it. Her husband and four kids live out in the middle of nowhere. She blogs about topics like food, and gardening and photography. I don't think any other teenager besides me would like it, since I'm into cooking and that kinda thing, but it's really neat. I totally recommend it.
* these next couple weeks of blogging could be really good or really painful, so please don't give up on me if I blog about, something not blog-worthy. :-)
